Gang Prevention Training a Success

Gang Prevention Strategies Meeting, PhiladelphiaThe United States Department of Labor, ETA-Division of Youth Services asked M. H. West & Co., Inc. to organize a Gang Strategies Training meeting. The event was held in Philadelphia May 5-7. WEST’s CEO, Marilyn West served as facilitator.

Training Specialists presenting included: Henry Pacheco, Multicultural Clinical Center; Ana Bonilla, Alexandria City Public Schools; Sarah Sunderlin, Employment and Training Administration (Division of Youth Services); Marilyn West, M. H. West & Co., Inc. and Richard Ramos, Latino Coalition for Faith.

The feedback on the training has been overwhelmingly positive. Participants seemed particularly impressed with the presenters delivery and focus on the message. Many have expressed interest in a follow-up training on gang prevention/intervention strategies and Promising Practices on various subjects such as Classroom Management and Case Management in late May or early June.
