Philip Morris USA's plan to build a $300 million Research and Technology Center, and is expected to open in 2007.

bullet Chesterfield County's Meadowville Technology Park will be the new home for a major portion of the State of Virginia's information technology operations.
bullet Pearson Government Solutions announced an investment of $5.6 million in River's Bend Business Center to open a call center providing support for the federal government's 1-800-Medicare hot line.
bullet Merit Medical Systems Inc. invested $5 million to open a manufacturing facility in Chesterfield County, creating 200 jobs.
bullet Wyeth expanded its manufacturing and distribution operations in eastern Henrico County, investing $30 million in highly automated packaging equipment.
