CVFB Appreciation

M. H. West & Co., Inc. is proud to support the Central Virginia Food Bank. In fact, WEST’s CEO and Chair Marilyn West serves on the organization’s board. Each year WEST associates, led by coordinator Justin House, help pack nutritious food for area school children in need. CVFB showed their appreciation by hosting a lunch for all the volunteers.

The food was great, but even better were the positive statistics shared after the meal. This past school year the CVFB delivered over sixty thousand backpacks full of food to area students and as they pointed out, many times the students will share that food with their family members who are also in need. The food backpack program has grown from 230 students to over 2000 students in just three years and is definitely having a positive impact in the community.
